Humming Birds

They are tough little critters to photograph. Here are a few of my so-so failures.

Thanks Rule,

I wasn't happy with them because they are all soft. The camera had a hard time focusing on the hummingbirds and they were fighting so no bird stayed in one place more than a second making it difficult to capture them.

Paul,
I loved the pictures! If I got pictures like these, I would be so excited that I would be showing them to everyone.

Celia;

Now I have the D300 I hope to be able to take beter hummingbird pictures. The D300 is faster focsuing than my D70s and records a lot more frames when I take a burst of photos. I can also boost the ISO to obtain a faster shutter speed which will help a lot.

Great shots. Must have been an awfully fast shutter speed... very tough to capture the wings clearly as they beat so many times per minute
