Saint John on Boxing Day

Jason and I walked around the South end of Saint John on Boxing Day. This is some of what caugh my eye. Yes, I like doorknobs. All too many of them have been replaced with more modern and less interesting versions. As you can see many buildings are in need of extensive repair as well. This is simply a record of what I saw and is not meant to be anything else.

I love old doorknobs too. They are so interesting to me and bring back a lot of memories of places that I have been. In nursing school, the dormitory rooms had those old locks and to get in we had to use a long key that we carried in our uniform. I love to see old houses and the doorknobs they have, it brings a smile.Those pictures were great.

Thanks Celis;

In our haste to take 'pictures' we all too often miss the small things, like doorways and old door knobs. Sadly these are all disappearing for newer and 'better' replacements. There are dozens more I have to photograph when the light is right. I'll keep you informed when I post more.
