I stopped along the road on the way to Elgin this past Sunday to take this two picture panoramic picture.

I have always been interested in photography but since 2004 I switched from film to digital and have really concentrated on improving my photography skill. I trust this shows in the quality of images I am taking. I take photos here on my blog for my own enjoyment and share them with you in hope you, the viewer, will enjoy them too.

The skies are so "big" up in Elgin.
My niece, husband and family have vacation house in Mapleton. The scenery is endless and it's so quiet.
Your picture is very peaceful

Thanks for your comments, much appreciated. Many times I will take a picture without considering the 'rules' only to find the elements you listed above are present. My unconscious eye at work I guess.
