More proof summer is over

My granddaughter Kayli and I went to Darlings Island this morning to play in the mud and take a few pictures by the water. While snapping pictures of her I noticed these early fall colors and just couldn't resist doing a ( Digital Ortons) montage. Yes folks, these are the actual colors of the trees and the first fall colors I have been able to capture, not that I have been looking all that hard...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere you go! LOL! I love fall. Love the colours. Love the weather. Love the picture. One comment (I can't spell critism!) I'd crop out part of the water and the sky...or at least the sky. You have such vibrant, rich colours and MY eye was drawn right to the top where the bland sky is. Maybe it should be a stock photo and some heading could go there! Sell your photos for $$!!

As usual a great shot and thanks for sharing. I love seeing what you shoot and what you find. Looks like we'll have to go out early to shoot the fall colours this year!

Yes, I can crop it a bit. I posted what came out of the camera. I was trying to balance the tree on the extreme right, real and reflected. Looking at it again I can crop the sky a bit more to better match the reflection. I'll check it out and see what works.

I don't like lame excuses but I wear glasses and it is very difficult to see the entire image in the viewfinder. I find I need to scan the image up, down, and sideways a few times to make sure I haven't missed something. I think it is because I can't get my eye close enough to the viewfinder to see the whole image. When I am in a hurry is whan something goes missing. I rely on my tripod for pictures like this (montages).

Thanks for the input... criticism....

Paul
