While driving to the Village this morning I stopped on the side of the road to capture this scene. There was virtually no color in it so I converted it to black and white.
I can't explain exactly what made me stop and take that picture. There was something different about the scene that caught my eye. The frost covered field, the long shadows in the foreground, the hills obscured partly by mist, and the dark to light aspect all played a part for sure. It works better in black and white too.
I have always been interested in photography but since 2004 I switched from film to digital and have really concentrated on improving my photography skill. I trust this shows in the quality of images I am taking. I take photos here on my blog for my own enjoyment and share them with you in hope you, the viewer, will enjoy them too.
