When Ice Melts

Kennebecasis River this morning. I had a really difficult time getting the picture I wanted. I am not sure if I succeeded. This is almost it. Too many houses and power lines.

Hi Mrs. Thirds;

I went to some trouble to get this picture. I was heading home from Quispamsis and as I drove past Meenan's Cove I noticed the mist/fog coming off the river, caused by the warm air over the ice on the river. I tried all along the Model Farm road to find a spot where I had a clear enough view where I could stop and get a picture or two. There was no place at all without running into someone's back yard and that wasn't about to happen. The Neck Road was about the same. Plenty of nice views there but none where there isn't the side of a house or power lines in the way. I managed to get this picture on the Old Neck Road, not quite what I wanted but that was the best I could do. I like it the more I look at it.

Thanks for commenting.

Thanks Jay;

I printed it in black and white and showed a few people yesterday and they all liked it. Hope they were not just being nice....grin.

Thanks for your comment.

...hey, I really like this one too. A sense of mystery indeed!!!! A photo that causes you to use your imagination, rather than just seeing it for what it is, is a work of "art".
