Photos at home

It has been said if you can't find any pictures to take at home you aren't looking hard enough. I was getting in the car this morning to go looking for photo opportunities and decided to walk around the yard instead. I got these three pictures. It was very windy which made these pictures a challenge.

#1 - My front yard as reflected in my living room window.

#2 - My flowering crab tree.

#3- A plant growing up through last year's maple leaf .

Rothesay Yacht Club After Sun Down

I arrived at the Rothesay Yacht Club wharf mere moments late for the setting sun. I snapped some pictures just the same. While walking back to my car I noticed this lady and her dog enjoying the tranquillity. I needed to quickly back way up in order to get this picture framed. Wrong lens on again. A moment later they were gone.

Osprey

I have been so busy the last few days taking pictures I haven't had time to post any. Coming home from Rothesay late this afternoon I noticed this fellow and his companion along the Hammond River taking a break from fishing. Carolyn stopped long enough for me to jump out of the car. He was up high and well hidden in the trees on the river side. I was able to walk slowly to a somewhat clear spot where I took this shot. Sorry but that is the best I could do as he didn't hang around long enough for me to get in a better position. Like I have said many times before, " it isn't perfect but it is the best I could do given the circumstances".

I have a number of new pictures to post. If it rains tomorrow I should have a good assortment of the boat launch at Rothesay Yacht Club on Saturday.

Rothesay last evening

Carolyn and I went to Rothesay Yacht club to meet Bruce and try for a sunset picture. I managed to squeeze this setting sun picture as the fog rolled in. Taken handheld from inside the car.

We then went to visit Bruce and snapped a few pictures of his flowers. It was almost 8:30 Pm and the light was quite poor. There was a breeze which made my 1/5 second exposure time pictures a bit soft. I'll get some keeper pictures when the light is better.

When we arrived home we discovered a visitor at our bird feeders. He quickly escaped to the safety of this tree and watched us from about 25 feet up. Carolyn held the flashlight while I focused and took this picture.

Montage, blossoms, and a wild deer.

Here are a few more of the images I took today. I wish the blue sky had lasted a little longer.

Apple Blossoms

I took these apple blossom pictures today. Thanks Penny for the inspiration. The Lady Bug on the leaf is for Lucy.
